Introduction
Our housing support programs aim to keep people in their housing, both sustaining and maintaining their tenancies to ensure that long term housing is secured and re-entry into the homelessness system is avoided.
Rural Housing Network delivers housing support through two key program areas:
- Social Housing Advocacy and Support (for tenants of public and community housing and Common Equity Rental Co-operative housing)
- Indigenous Tenants at Risk
Tenants are encouraged to participate in decisions that affect their housing and are provided opportunity to determine their housing outcomes.
Additionally, Rural Housing Network promotes tenant participation opportunities to engage tenants more broadly within their community and to develop the capacity of tenants to contribute to the environments in which they reside.
