Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP)
IAP explores your current housing situation, together with options that exist to secure affordable long term housing.
The IAP process seeks to resolve the immediate housing needs of homeless people in the first instance, and then put in place support and links that will assist in providing people the means to both secure and sustain long term housing.
This is a confidential and non-judgemental process.
How can the IAP Worker assist you?
The IAP Workers role is to work with people to secure affordable long-term housing. The worker can assist with:
- Housing information and advice
- Referral to agencies who can help with support issues
- Access to financial assistance to obtain or maintain housing
- Assistance in obtaining access to transitional, public or private rental accommodation
- Applying for public housing
- Establishing housing plans
